Especially for students…………..Summer can be a difficult time to keep your faith alive.
You may find yourself without your weekly bible study, easy access to daily Mass and the sacraments, and lacking friends to support you. However, summer can also be a time of great growth and maturing spiritually if you allow it to be. Often, we may have time in the summer for different things than those we do during the year. It can also be a great time to challenge your new relationship with Christ to grow in new ways. For example, maybe instead of getting to the chapel for your prayer time, you could go for a walk (without your iPod!) and just talk to Jesus or pray a rosary. You can also strengthen your friendships in new ways, such as asking a friend to be your pen-pal for the summer or taking advantage of Facebook and Skype to keep in touch regularly and hold one another accountable.
